Twenty-three promising young Utrecht scientists received VENI grants for €280,000 to develop their research ideas for the next three years. Dr. Kotowski was one of four recipients this year in the Faculty of Geosciences at Utrecht. Alissa will use the VENI to investigate the metamorphic and mechanical feedbacks that facilitate plate boundary formation during subduction initiation! See the press release here.
