Hester Smit, Tim van der Wurf, and Jippe van Broekhoven received Olaf Schuiling grants to fund their Master's research projects. The team will study the metamorphic, metasomatic, and mechanical changes that occur across a paleo-subduction plate boundary during its initial formation in the Ordovician, as the ancient Iapetus ocean began to subduct off-shore paleo-North America. We're going to Canada! Congrats, all!
