The Team Goes to Egypt!

Thanks to funding by the Schürmannfonds for Precambrian Field Research, Alissa and Ben went to Egypt in December 2025 to check out a Neoproterozoic subduction complex. This will make up a big part of Ben's PhD project. The fieldwork was a wild success, and we are excited to see what these rocks will teach us. We made strong connections with colleagues from Cairo University and the Egypt Geological Survey and we are grateful to them for making this trip possible!
